The Chicago CoC is a membership-based organization whose mission is to prevent and end homelessness in our city. Members are encouraged to become active participants by joining an affinity group, CoC Board Committee, or lived experience group. By actively participating in these focused groups and initiatives, CoC members can leverage their skills and passion to contribute significantly to the overarching mission of ending homelessness in Chicago. It’s a collaborative and dynamic approach that allows individuals to make a tangible difference within their areas of expertise and interest.
How to Get Involved:
Sign up for CoC Newsletters
The CoC distributes regular communications through weekly and monthly newsletters. The weekly newsletter provides important information regarding funding opportunities, upcoming events, training, webinars, and important CoC announcements. The monthly newsletter brings key decisions, accomplishments, and milestones to inform CoC stakeholders on the strategic direction of the Chicago CoC’s work.
Join a CoC Board Committee
CoC board committees actively contribute to the strategic direction and effectiveness of initiatives dedicated to addressing homelessness within our community. These committees, comprised of dedicated individuals with diverse skills and backgrounds, play a pivotal role in shaping specific facets of the CoC’s mission and governance structure. The CoC Board functions as the governing body of the Chicago CoC, operating within the parameters outlined in the CoC Charter.
Get Involved with the CoC Implementation Structure
