The Chicago CoC is in the final stage of launching a new Line of Action Leadership Team targeting the priority area of Re-Entry. In 2023, the CoC Board established Re-Entry as a priority area, and since then, All Chicago and CoC Board members have been working to cultivate the necessary partnerships for this Line of Action to be successful. This Line of action aims to improve the CoC housing process for individuals exiting incarceration and is facilitated by All Chicago (in its role as the Collaborative Applicant for the CoC) and the Illinois Justice Project (ILJP). ILJP has worked to bring in a large group of Re-Entry services stakeholders at the city, regional, and state levels to help address Chicago’s Re-Entry housing needs. The Leadership Team for this Line of Action has been established, and the first meeting will be on Wednesday, May 29. This meeting will be hybrid, and non-Leadership Team members can join to listen in. The in-person location for the Leadership Team Launch will be shared soon and will be hosted in Chicago. A hybrid option will be available for those not able to join in-person.
