Many participants enrolled in CoC housing programs have one or more disabilities. For certain programs, having a disability is a prerequisite for program enrollment. Program staff must understand how to uphold the rights of participants with disabilities while offering supportive services.

This training provides an overview of the following:

• The federal fair housing rights of participants with physical or mental disabilities
• The expectation of programs to provide appropriate accommodations for participants with disabilities
• The practical considerations involved in supporting participants with disabilities who choose to live independently
