Committees and Workgroups

Ending Veteran Homelessness Initiative Community Team

The Community Team is responsible for helping to shape the implementation of Chicago’s Coordinated Entry System (CES), as well as to address systemic barriers identified by providers and Veterans that prevent Veterans from getting housed quickly and efficiently. Systemic barriers experienced by staff participating in the EVHI System Integration Team (SIT) meetings are brought to the Community Team for discussion and possible resolution. 
Expertise needed: The EVHI Community Team is comprised of program management/leadership staff from the VA, emergency shelters, transitional housing, outreach, and all housing providers that serve Veterans. 
Meeting details: The EVHI Community Team meets on the first Friday of each month from 9:00 AM – 11:00 AM. at DFSS, 10 S. Kedzie, Room 205. Please contact Jessica Smith at CSH at jessica.smith@csh.org if interested in attending.

 

EVHI Leadership Team

Meeting details: The group meets quarterly (January, April, July, October) on the 2nd Wednesday of that month. 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM by phone. Please contact Maura McCauley for further information.

  • Veteran Strategy Team
    This group is designed to brainstorm and problem-solve issues specific to the EVHI Workplan. It is a subset group of the Leadership Team.
    Expertise needed: Familiarity with the EVHI.
    Meeting details: The group meets as needed. Please contact Jessica Smith if interested in attending.

 

Veteran System Integration Team Meeting

This group is for providers working with Veterans in their programs and involves case conferencing.
Expertise needed: Participants should include Veteran service providers and the VA.
Meeting details:
The group meets the 2nd, 3rd, and 4th Fridays at 10 S. Kedzie from 9:00 AM -10:30 AM.
