All Chicago’s Learning Center provides trainings and workshops that build capacity within Chicago’s Continuum of Care and homeless services sector. In 2017, The Learning Center provided 53 trainings attended by more than 1100 participants.

Learning Management System Training Registration Instructions

The All Chicago Talent Learning Management System (LMS) platform can be used for various training-related activities, including a searchable course catalog, access to Continuing Education credits (as applicable), tracking progress in courses, registration and payment (as applicable), downloading training content and course completion certificates, and posting to discussion boards.

There are three short YouTube videos available to help orient you to the Learning Management System (LMS):

These videos are also available within the LMS. Once you’re logged in as a new user, you will see a course in your homepage called “Online Learning Center – New User Guide.”  All new users are automatically enrolled in this course, which contains the “Basic Navigation and Home Screen” video and the “Register, Track Progress, and Access the Calendar” video.

Register as a New User

1. Visit the LMS log-in page at https://allchicago.talentlms.com

2. Click on “Create account” and follow the prompts.  Note: If you would like to obtain Continuing Education credits toward your professional license (such as LSW, LCSW, LPC/LCPC) it is required for you to enter your license number.  Otherwise, disregard this field.  

3. You will receive an automatic email from Talent LMS asking you to click on a link to confirm your account.  If you do not see the email, please check your spam/junk folder. 

4. Once you click on the link, you are logged into the system. 

Register for a Course

1. On the sidebar to the right of the homepage, click on “Course catalog.”

2. Search by category, by typing keywords into the “search courses” field or by scrolling through the list.  By selecting the course name you can read full details about the course before registering.

3. When you locate the course you want to register for, click on “Get this course.” See the Course Payment Instructions section below. IMPORTANT: if you are signing up for an in-person training or an online webinar, you must finish your registration by completing steps #4 & #5.

4. Click on the title of the course, and then click on “Start or resume course.”  This takes you to the registration for the “instructor-led event.”  Click on “Register.”

5. Finally, to add this event to your personal calendar, after clicking on “Register,” you will see a button to the right that says “Add session to your calendar.”  Click here and select the type of calendar you use.  Then download the meeting invite and accept the meeting. 

Course Payment Instructions

  • Courses that do not offer CEUs are free for all participants. 

  • If there is an option to earn CEUs for a course, the course will have a price.  However, anyone who does not wish to earn CEUs may take the course for free by using a coupon as described below.  Anyone who wishes to earn CEUs will be charged $10 per CE hour for CoC Members and $15 per CE hour for non-CoC Members. 

How to Use a Coupon to Register for a Course for Free

Follow these instructions if you do not want to earn CEUs and wish to take the course for free.

1. After you click on “Get this course,” a Payment window will pop up.

2. Click on “Got a Coupon?”

3. In the coupon field, enter “FREE” and click on “Validate.”

4. Click on “Checkout.”

5. IMPORTANT: If you are signing up for an in-person training or an online webinar, you must finish your registration by completing steps #4 & #5 under “Register for a Course.”

CoC Members: How to Use a Coupon to Pay a Discounted Price for CEUs

Follow these instructions if you would like to earn CEUs and you/your agency are a CoC Member. 

1. After you click on “Get this course,” a Payment window will pop up.

2. Click on “PayPal” at the top (next to “Credits”).

3. Click on “Got a Coupon?”

4. In the coupon field, enter “COCMEMBER” and click on “Validate.”

5. The reduced price will appear.  Click on “Checkout.”

6. A PayPal window will open.  If you have a PayPal account, enter your email/phone number.  If not, click on “Pay with Debit or Credit Card.” Enter payment information and click on “Pay Now.”

7. At the bottom of your payment confirmation, click on “Return to merchant.”

8. IMPORTANT: If you are signing up for an in-person training or an online webinar, you must finish your registration by completing steps #4 & #5 under “Register for a Course.”

Non-CoC Members: How to Pay for CEUs

Follow these instructions if you would like to earn CEUs and you/your agency are not a CoC Member.

1. After you click on “Get this course,” a Payment window will pop up.

2. Click on “PayPal” at the top (next to “Credits”).

3. Click on “Checkout.”

4. A PayPal window will open.  If you have a PayPal account, enter your email/phone number.  If not, click on “Pay with Debit or Credit Card.”  Enter payment information and click on “Pay Now.”
